POG spread before USmint incr buff price?
 

right now they want 899 for 07 buffaloes. pog is 23. whats the spread, last time, before they yanked them?

Don't have an answer, but they pulled eagles first, and I should have jumped on the proof buffalos then at 825.....I'm thinking that the spread was smaller than the spread is now as gold is at 826.

Pulled the trigger and bought one today...I think that the 2007 proofs will be worth more than the 2006 proofs, which are already selling for well over 900 on APMEX.

I'm afraid that they will mark the price up soon, plus the 06 proof is my favorite coin (precious, precious) and i want to keep the set going. We'll see how it shakes out, but barring a complete SHTF I think it will soar in value.

I went ahead and bought one today. I don't know if they will pull them again like they did before, but the price at the mint for the 2007 buff proof is now cheaper than what APMEX is asking for its 2007 buff bullion. Can't hardly go wrong.

Next year with gold at $1,500.00 (maybe - no promises written in my sorry blood) they'll look cheap! :wink:

Sorry to hear you didn't make it. I ordered mine the morning of January 2nd, and received it on Jan. 7th. When I ordered mine it immediately said "in stock and reserved" On Dec 26th I ordered some of the W Mint Silver Eagles (5), and the message then was they are on backorder with an expected ship date of Jan 31st. As of today the Mint still has the same message, although I am expecting I will eventually suffer what you did, that the order will be canceled.

CEF's premium over spot came down nicely today... with a 3.66% decline in the share price which doesn't match the less than 1% decline in the net asset value, bringing the premium to 4% or under. I've been watching CEF for more than 2 years now, and this is a very cheap premium for what you get (actual stored physical bullion in insured vaults in Canada). I know it's not the same as physical, but it's the nest best thing. :)

Sorry to hear that, AE, got mine a few days ago, looks sweet, just like the 06 buffalo proof except for one digit! :bull-buddy-icon:
